Previously known as Armistice Day, Veterans Day was established in 1918 as a day to honor the brave men and women who served our country. While Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11, this year, Flat Branch is celebrating veterans throughout the entire month of November.
This November at Flat Branch
This Veterans Day, we want veterans to know how much we appreciate them, so we’re celebrating them all month long! This November, in addition to our always-present programs and loans, we are offering the extra incentive of waiving all lender fees for veterans, regardless of loan type (meaning this offer is not exclusive to the VA loan).
Giving Back to Veterans
Along with waiving our lender fees for veterans in the month of November, the non-profit arm of our company, The Giving Branch, is giving back to veterans and their families all month long. The Giving Branch is 100% funded by Flat Branch employees and provides financial support to non-profits and families in need. The Giving Branch has donated over $30,000 to veterans and their families, and non-profit organizations that support veterans.
Flat Branch: Veterans Serving Veterans
With many veterans working at Flat Branch, and many of our neighbors being veterans, we recognize the important role veterans play in our community. Our Community Champions program is one way we honor veterans on a regular basis. This program waives processing and appraisal fees up to $900 for those who work to make our community a better place, including active-duty military personnel.
