Steven (Steve) Wheeler’s career path started when he was just 16 years old. He was putting up yard signs and taking photos for his parents’ small real estate company. Not too long after, he obtained his real estate license and began selling real estate at the age of 18. Steve spent 10 years selling real estate in the Kansas City area before switching over to the mortgage industry in 2012. Steve's experience and industry insight has led him to finding a passion in serving homebuyers by helping them reach all of their homebuying and refinancing goals. Steve has experience working with all types of buyers, including the excited first-time homebuyer, the all deserving retired or active duty service member and the experienced property investor. When Steve isn’t working, his three young kids keep him busy! They like to play sports, ride bikes, sing, and break out into random dance parties when the right song comes on. When he gets free time, he enjoys playing golf or softball and attending concerts and sporting events, like Kansas City Royals games. Steve and his wife are also very involved with a non-profit called Lullaby of Hope. This is a ministry they started in 2013 after their family experienced a miscarriage and a stillbirth in the same year. Steve began working at Flat Branch Home Loans in September of 2017 and is eager to work alongside the Flat Branch community to serve all types of homebuyers through their home loan journey.
